It's Time to Stop Chasing Symptoms and Start Addressing the Underlying Cause!

Chasing symptoms without addressing the root cause may only provide short-term relief, potentially leading to more harm than good over time. By hiring a health coach like Dr. Boyer, you’re taking a proactive step toward identifying and addressing the underlying issues for lasting wellness.

Benefits Of The Ketogenic Diet

By significantly reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with healthy fats, the body enters a state of ketosis, where it efficiently burns fat for fuel instead of carbohydrates. This metabolic shift not only promotes weight loss but also offers various other health benefits. Research suggests that the ketogenic diet may improve blood sugar control, reduce inflammation, enhance cognitive function, and support heart health. Additionally, many individuals report increased energy levels, better mental clarity, and improved overall well-being when following a ketogenic eating pattern. With its potential to optimize health and promote weight loss, the ketogenic diet is a valuable tool for those seeking to improve their overall health and vitality.

Food Sensitivity Testing

Food sensitivities can often be overlooked as underlying factors contributing to various health issues, ranging from digestive discomfort to chronic inflammation. Identifying and addressing these sensitivities can be crucial for optimizing health and well-being. At Boyer Chiropractic and Wellness Center, we offer advanced Food Sensitivity Testing to help uncover potential triggers and guide personalized dietary interventions. Our comprehensive testing options include KBMO FIT 22, KBMO FIT 134, and KBMO FIT 176, each designed to assess different aspects of food sensitivities and provide valuable insights for tailored treatment plans.

KBMO FIT 22 is a targeted test that identifies the 22 most common food sensitivities. By analyzing blood samples obtained through a simple finger prick, this test helps pinpoint specific foods that may be contributing to symptoms such as bloating, headaches, or fatigue. With the results of KBMO FIT 22, individuals can make informed decisions about which foods to eliminate or reduce from their diet.

KBMO FIT 134 is a comprehensive test that evaluates the 123 most common food sensitivities. This extensive panel provides a detailed assessment of potential triggers, offering valuable insights into a wide range of foods that may be contributing to symptoms. By identifying and eliminating problematic foods based on the results of KBMO FIT 134, individuals can take proactive steps toward addressing underlying issues and promoting optimal health.

KBMO FIT 176 is a patented multi-pathway delayed food sensitivity test that assesses both IgG and Immune Complexes, the two most common food-related pathways in the body. By analyzing blood samples obtained through a simple finger prick, this advanced test provides comprehensive insights into food sensitivities and gut health, guiding personalized dietary interventions to alleviate symptoms and promote overall wellness.

Metabolic Testing

Understanding your metabolic health is key to preventing and managing lifestyle diseases that are prevalent and impactful on quality of life, such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and obesity. These conditions, which significantly increase the risk of serious health problems including premature death, are largely preventable, treatable, and reversible with the right approach. At Boyer Chiropractic and Wellness Center, we offer comprehensive Metabolic Testing through targeted bloodwork, including the Cardiometabolic Risk Test (CIT), to evaluate and monitor your cardiometabolic risk. Our tests cover a range of key markers, from Lipids and Metabolics to Inflammation, providing a detailed picture of your health and guiding personalized treatment plans. Dr. Boyer can write prescriptions for patients to get these critical tests, which are paid out of pocket, ensuring that our approach is tailored to your individual health needs and risks. By identifying and addressing these metabolic factors early, we can help you take significant steps towards improving your health and preventing future complications.

Total Cholesterol (TC)
Measures the amount of cholesterol in all cholesterol-containing lipoproteins.

Triglycerides (TG)

Elevated levels increase CVD risk by altering lipoprotein metabolism

Direct Low Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C)

Amount of cholesterol in the atherogenic low-density lipoproteins

High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (HDL-C)

Amount of cholesterol in high-density lipoproteins (HDL). Higher levels of HDL are associated with reduced CVD risk, but not all HDL is good.

Lipid Ratio

TC/HDL-C is a stronger risk factor than either LDL-C or HDL-C. Low HDL-C/TG is associated with insulin resistance.

Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a))

Elevated levels, present in 20% of the population, are an independent risk factor for CVD

Apolipoprotein B (apoB)

A major protein in atherogenic particles. Stronger predictor of CVD than LDL-C

High levels are associated with vitamin B deficiency in increased risk for CVD and dementia

Fasting glucose is a strong predictor of diabetes and CVD risk

Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)

Assesses the average blood glucose over the last two to three months

High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein (hs-CRP)

Acute phase inflammatory protein. Associated with atherosclerosis after excluding other causes

We measure and use any candida overgrowth in the stomach/dysbiosis as a precursor to leaky gut occurrence.

Zonulin is a marker of intestinal permeability, otherwise known as leaky gut. If a patient has elevated Zonulin levels, the normal regulation of the tight junctions is compromised. This Zonulin marker is unique to KBMO please follow the link for more information:

Occludin is a marker of tight junction stabilization and optimal barrier function. Elevated occludin indicates that the tight junctions are breaking down.

Lipopolysaccharides (LPS)

LPS is a major structural component of the outer membrane of gram-negative bacteria. Elevated levels of antibody against LPS may be indicative of Leaky Gut Syndrome and other gastrointestinal inflammatory diseases.

GB Panel Interpretation

If any of the 8 markers are positive, we recommend to consult your provider with regards a gut healing protocol.

The GB Panel removes the guesswork; providers no longer have to guess they can test for Food Sensitivities, Inflammation and Leaky Gut and then treat their patients accordingly.

This Panel is included with the FIT 132 and FIT 176. It will also be available as a standalone fingerstick test
